HEY, dear readers! We’ve got plenty more to show you from the DMZ, but for now, let’s leap forward to the heart of why I set foot in South Korea in the first place—my rock, my dear friend Victor. This man was my lifeline when I was battling that brain aneurysm, a true guardian angel whose daily calls and gentle prayers pulled me through the darkest days. When I told him I was coming to Korea, I knew I had to visit his church, dive into his world, and soak up the love of his community. Let me tell you, our day at his church was a burst of joy, light, and some heavenly surprises—tomatoes coated in orange juice, anyone?
From the moment I stepped into Victor’s church, I was wrapped in warmth like a cozy blanket on a chilly day. His community welcomed me with open arms, big smiles, and enough kindness to make even a grumpy old fella like me feel right at home. It was a special day, filled with love and laughter, and I couldn’t have been happier to share it with Victor, the guy who kept my spirits high when I was convinced I was a goner.
The singing—oh, the singing! Those voices were pure magic, like a choir of godly angels. I’m not a religious guy, but I swear I felt something divine in those harmonies, lifting my soul higher than my creaky knees could ever manage. And then came the lunch. Let me tell you, if there’s a God, He showed up in the form of tomatoes coated in orange juice—a godly creation that left my taste buds praising the heavens. Who knew such a combo could be so divine? I was half-expecting a halo to pop up over my plate!
We laughed, we ate, we shared stories, and I got to see Victor in his element, surrounded by his church family. It was a day that sparkled with happiness, a perfect reminder of why I’m on this STRONGER tour—to celebrate life, friendship, and second chances. I’m so glad I went to church with Victor and shared this magical day with him. Want to see it for yourself? Check out the video below for a front-row seat to the love, the laughter, and those angelic voices that made this day unforgettable.
Stick with me, folks—this STRONGER tour is all about heart, and there’s so much more to come!
